Matira Camp

Matira Camp was started and established by Antony and Monika great travelers who have passion for nature and conservation. Matira Camp is located on the ultimate heart of the national reserve , designed with typical local materials as required by the conservation acts of nature, suited in the middle of forest surrounded by the river attracts wide range of wildlife to come near the camp, Guests see animals roam around the camp in the morning and evening time.

The camp strategic location just a throw of stone away from the main Mara River and Talek River where the great migration always occurs just a walk in distance. The camp is also the birding paradise that attracts great birders and permanent operating year around founded by locals they have great experience of the area and surrounding locality.

Matira Camp is divided in to tw the Adventure camp and the main camp, the main camp has 10 comfortable safari tents with single, double and twin beds all with ensuite bathrooms and fully furnished. The Camp has big dining area where the guests all collect for meals and they prepare both local and international dishes.

The Adventure Camp is located across the local natural Matira Bridge and it has 6 fully furnished safari tents with single, double and twin occupancy, hot and cold water showers with flushing toilets. Matira Camp adventure camp is always open all year round.
