Orkiu Safari Lodge
Orkiu Safari Lodge is a budget accommodation found 2 miles from the Center of Kenya’s Famous Maasai Mara National Park. The lodge is situated 14km from Keekerok airstrip in the perfect blend for nature wonders, great wildebeest migration, and the greatest tribe of the Maasai perfect for safari adventures and relaxation to tourists, travelers, and holidaymakers who want to explore the park. One can be at the camp by road transport from Nairobi city taking about 3-4 hours’ drive and an hour flying from Nairobi to the close Keekerok airstrip then 14m to be transferred to the camp.
Orkiu Safari Lodge consists of 4 comfortable and spacious tents reflecting the African traditional building style overlooking the wilderness. There are also camping grounds for camp lovers with tents for hire. Tents are well elevated and furnished with private en-suite facilities of Flushing toilets, bathrooms with hot and cold showers, mattresses, pillows, free toiletries, outdoor Maasai-style showers both hot and cold, beds wrapped mosquito nets, Free complimentary bottled water, etc. Each tent has a veranda and sitting areas, so you relax while overlooking the savannah plains and the surrounding areas. Tents are equipped with comfortable clean beddings containing queen-sized beds. There is fireplaces /campfires where guests relax and share experience about the safari, it also provides warmth to visitors during cold nights. The lodge offers rooms suitable for groups/families as well as individuals (single beds) , double/twin for sharing.

Maasai Mara National Park is among the largest and most visited park in Kenya known for its incredible density and variety of animals. it is situated 270km north of Nairobi in Kenya occupying a total area of 1,510 km squared. There are many over 1 million tribes in Kenya, Maasai is an initial and local group of semi-nomadic people that settled in Kenya and the northern part of Tanzania. Maasai Mara National Park is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. The park contains over a million animals including lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, and hippos and 600 species of birds, and 60 species of raptors in different colors. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration from Serengeti National Park during July, August, and October. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers.
