Sala’s camp

Sala’s camp is a referred to as a mid -range accommodation situated in the southern areas and wilder corner of Kenyas’ Masaai Mara National Park, close to the confluence of two rivers (sand and Keekerok river). The camp is near Tanzania’s border along the northern corridor of Serengeti national park the scene of the world’s famous great annual migration.   It takes approximately 4-5 hour drive from Nairobi city to Masaai Mara National Park and an hour flight from Nairobi to the closest keekerok airstrip and 30 minutes to be transferred to the camp.  The camp is in the remote areas and business friendly to Travellers, tourists who want to discover and explore Masaai Mara national park with its stunning view over the rivers, wildlife roaming along the river and surrounding areas.

Sala’s camp is comprised of 7 comfortable and spacious en-suite tents that includes family tent on a raised deck   overlooking the vast plains of Mara and rivers reflecting traditional style with combination of sold materials and high level of comfort.  Tents are well elevated, decorated and furnished with private en suite facilities of flushing toilets, bathrooms with hot and cold showers, mosquito nets, free toiletries, white curtains, complementary bottled water, wooden chairs and tables, and many More. Tents have terraces and large sitting areas overlooking the spectacular views of over the Rivers, Mara Plains and surrounding area.  Tents are equipped with comfortable clean bedding containing king and queen sized beds.  There is a campfire pit where guests relax and share stories/ experience about the safari da that provides warmth to visitors staying at. Rooms are in different sizes with single beds for individuals ,double/twin for couple or Two people and family options with different costs ranging from 300$ per night  and above ( note that high season rate is different to low season rate.)

Meals offered include; Continental breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner in the main building served by well trained, friendly and welcoming staff, you can have meals in any place of your choice either veranda overlooking the park or in the dining areas. Bush breakfasts are also offered while enjoying morning sunrises and bush dinners while overlooking the stars in the sky.

A-well stocked bar with variety of refreshment both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks, you relax on balcony while sipping the sundowner that winds up your evening overlooking the spectacular view of the  river ,Mara plain and surrounding areas

 A blue water swimming pool that cools off the hot Mara afternoon, you relax in water while overlooking the surrounded landscape.

 Masaai  mara  national park is  among the largest and most  visited park in Kenya situated  270km north of Nairobi in Kenya occupying the total area of 1,510 km squared . There are many over 1 million tribes in Kenya ,Masaai are  initial and local  group of semi –Nomadic people that settled in Kenya and the northern part of Tanzania. Maasai Mara National park is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. The park contains over a million  of  animals that  include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos and 600 species of bird and 60 species of raptors in different  colors . Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration from Serengeti national park  during July ,August and October .The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek river.
