Tor’s camp

Tor’s camp is a mid- range accommodation found inside the riverine forest of olare orok river, south of the Masaai Mara National Reserve’s northern Border. The camp is situated 30 minutes’ drive from Talek River, the perfect spot in the park. You can be at the camp by road or air transport taking approximately 5-6 hours (260km) drive from Nairobi city center to Masaai Mara National Park and an hour to fly from Nairobi to the close airstrip then few minutes’ drive to be transferred to the camp.   The camp is convenient for Kenya safari adventure to tourists, travellers who want to explore the park with its beautiful view of the Mara Plains, wildlife and surrounding areas.

 Tor’s camp consists of  2 spacious and comfortable accommodations with glamping tents and campsite overlooking the stunning forest and Maasai mara reflecting traditional building styles. There are also camping grounds for camp lovers with tents for hire  Campers have access to hot showers, electricity charging points etc Each tent is well elevated, decorated and furnished with en-suite facilities of clean private flush toilets, safari style showers/ bucket, mosquito nets,  Deck chairs, Wooden Tables, Free bottled water , free toiletries in the tents and many others. Each tent has sitting areas and private verandas that give a better view over the riverine and surrounding areas.  Tents are equipped with comfortable clean beddings containing queen-sized beds.  There is a fireplace at the camp where guests relax and share stories about safaris; it also provides warmth to visitors during cold nights.  The camp offers tents suitable for family as well as individuals with single bed, double beds, twin for sharing and triple beds. They cost 150$ per night and above, during high season rate is always high than in low season rate

  A restaurant in main building that serves different meals  both international and Kenyan cuisine to  meets  guests choice ; English breakfast , picnic lunch and  dinners (both in and outdoor dinners)  served by well-trained, friendly and organized  staff, they also serve bush diners overlooking the stars in the sky

A bar and lounge with variety of drinks both local and international beers,  you relax  and sip the cocktail  while overlooking  the breathtaking views  over the Hills  and surrounding area

Masaai Mara National Park is among the largest and most visited park in Kenya known of its incredible density and variety of animals. It is situated  270km north of Nairobi in Kenya occupying the total area of 1,510 km squared. There are many over 1 million tribes in Kenya, Masaai are initial and local group of semi-nomadic people that settled in Kenya and the northern part of Tanzania. Maasai Mara National Park is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. The park contains over a million of animals that include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos and 600 species of bird and 60 species of raptors in different colors. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration from Serengeti national park during July, August, and October. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek river.
