Zebra River Camp

Zebra River Camp is a newly built luxury accommodation operated and owned by the Zebra Collection which runs different properties across Kenya. The camp is situated on the banks of the Zebra River in the forest along the bends of the Talek River in the famous Maasai Mara National Game Park Kenya region. The camp is a few minutes from Talek gate overlooking the stunning views of the open Mara Plains. You can be at the camp by road or air transport taking approximately 5-6 hours (250km) drive from Nairobi city center to Maasai Mara National Park and an hour to fly from Nairobi to the close ol- kiombo airstrip then a few km drive to be transferred to the camp.   The camp is convenient and business-friendly for safari adventures to tourists, and travelers who want to explore the park with its beautiful view of the forest, and wildlife that comes close to the lodge and surrounding areas.

Zebra River camp consists of 15 spacious and comfortable luxury tents with 1 family tent overlooking Talek forest and Maasai mara reflecting traditional building styles with modern comfort.    Each tent is well elevated, decorated and furnished with en-suite facilities of clean private flush toilets, safari-style hot and cold showers, dressing Mirrors, mosquito nets,  Air conditioning, Deck chairs, work Decks, Wooden Tables, Complementary bottled water in the tents, Free toiletries and many others. Each tent has a sitting area and Private verandas that give a better view over the forest, and wildlife roaming around the lodge and surrounding areas.    Tents are equipped with comfortable clean beddings containing queen-sized beds.  There is a fireplace at the camp where guests relax and share stories about safaris; it also provides warmth to visitors during cold/chill nights.  The camp offers tents suitable for families/groups as well as individuals with single beds, double beds/ twin for couple

Zebra River Camp offers more services and facilities which include;

 A restaurant in the main canvas structure that serves different meals both international ( vegetarians and non-vegetarians) and Kenyan cuisine to meet guests’ choice, English breakfast, picnic lunch, and dinners (both in and outdoor dinners)  served by well-trained, friendly, and organized staff, they also serve bush diners overlooking the stars in the sky.

A well-stocked bar and lounge with a variety of refreshments both, local, cocktails, wines, spirits, and international beers,  you relax  and sip the cocktail  while overlooking  the breathtaking views  over the Mara wilderness  and surrounding area

 A Wi-Fi internet hotspot is available at the camp that enables visitors to keep in touch with their families and friends. You are able to surf the web while connected.

Craft shop available at the camp with a variety of Maasai souvenir gifts like shoes, clothes,  safari essentials, etc.

Activities to do while at the lodge include a game drive that will give you a chance to see a wide range of animals, Hot air ballooning safaris,  nature walks in the local villages of Maasai, walk night safaris, and many others

Maasai Mara National Park is among the largest and most visited parks in Kenya known for its incredible density and variety of animals. it is situated  270km north of Nairobi in Kenya occupying a total area of 1,510 km squared. There are many over 1 million tribes in Kenya, Maasai is an initial and local group of semi-nomadic people that settled in Kenya and the northern part of Tanzania. Maasai Mara National Park is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. The park contains over a million animals including lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos and 600 species of birds and 60 species of raptors in different colors. Wildebeest traverses its plains during their annual migration from Serengeti national park during July, August and October. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek river.
