Detailed Itinerary of 4 Days Nyerere and Mikumi Safari
Day 1: Transfer to Selous Game Reserve, Boat Cruise
Your 4 Days Nyerere and Mikumi Safari starts with departure from Zanzibar on a ferry at 7 am for Dar es Salaam from where your guide shall pick you and transfer you to Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve). Selous is quite a distance, so you will arrive by mid-day and on arrival you will check in at your lodge for a short rest and lunch.
In the afternoon you will go for a boat ride in the Rufiji River, as you glide on the river you will enjoy incredible sightings of several animals including crocodiles, hippos, among several other animals as they converge to quench their thirst. Crocodiles take advantage to hunt their prey and you might be treated to sights of animal action if lucky. In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Game Drive in Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere National Park), Walking Safari
Enjoy a delicious breakfast, meet your driver-guide and head to the park for game drive with picnic lunch. During the drive you will enjoy the scenic views of the Selous Game Reserve and spot several animals calling the reserve home including African Wild Dogs, herds of elephants, giraffes, among so many others.
Enjoy your picnic lunch in the wilderness. Later in the afternoon, you shall go for a guided walking safari through the plains of the park giving for an opportunity to come up-close with nature and wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge as above.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive, Drive to Mikumi National Park
Wake up for a cup of coffee and go for an early morning game drive giving you an opportunity to see more wild game in the Nyerere National Park, with your packed lunch you will embark on a transfer to Mikumi National Park another great safari destination in the Southern Circuit of Tanzania.
Check in at the lodge, relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Game Drive in Mikumi, Departure
Wake up early for breakfast, meet your driver-guide and go for an early morning game drive in Mikumi National Park in search for abundant wildlife such as elephants, lion, wild dogs, zebras, hyenas, buffaloes, wildebeests, eland, hartebeest, crocodiles lizard and other residents of Mikumi.
After enjoying breakfast, with your packed lunch, head out on a drive to Dar es Salaam from where you shall reach in time for your ferry ride back to Zanzibar, marking the end of your safari.
