DETAILED ITINERARY OF 6 DAYS MASAI MARA HONEYMOON PACKAGE

Day 1: pick up and transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve

On your arrival, you will be picked up from the airport by your safari driver-guide, and after a short safari briefing, you will transfer to Wilson Airport for your flight to Masai Mara National Reserve at one of the reserve’s airstrips.

When you land, you will be met by your safari driver-guide and transferred to your lodge, have lunch and rest. In the evening, you will go for an evening game drive for big cat sightings such as lions, leopards, cheetahs and many other animals. Then return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: full day in Masai Mara National Reserve

Have breakfast in the morning and head to the reserve with your packed lunch for a full day game drive. On this full day, you will explore the reserve from the comfort of your open roof safari vehicle, and you will get to watch many animals such as lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, wildebeest, warthogs, elands, and many more.

Your lunch will be set intimately in the wilderness of the reserve. Then go for another game drive. In the evening, you will head back to your lodge, have dinner, and stay overnight.

Day 3: Transfer back to Nairobi, then to Lamu

Have a cup of coffee, then head to the reserve for an early morning game drive, watching a variety of animals, then return to the lodge for a full buffet breakfast, then check out and transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport together with your packed lunch.

When you arrive at the airport, you will connect to another flight connecting to Lamu Island at Manda Airport. On your arrival, you will be met by your guide, get on a boat ride, and transfer to Kipungani Explorer, located on the ancient Arabian Island-Paradise of Lamu. Kipungani is one of the most remote, relaxing, and richly romantic coastal hideaways in the world, overlooking the tranquil waters of the sheltered Kipungani Channel. You will check in, have dinner, and stay overnight.

Day 4: Relaxing stay at Lamu

Have breakfast and spend the day relaxing at your hotel. As you relax at the hotel, you can take a swim in the swimming pool or go out and take a long walk on the deserted beaches found on the eastern tip of Lamu Island, one of the best Kenya safaris. Spend the night and stay overnight at your hotel.

Day 5: Sail on the traditional dhow and visit Shela village  

Have breakfast at your hotel, then head for a sail on the traditional dhow experience, exploring the entire island. While sailing, you will enjoy the beautiful breeze and waves of the ocean water. When you return, you will have lunch and then visit Shela Village, a village of tall stone townhouses, small thatched huts, mosques, ruins, and market stalls.

On your visit, you will enjoy watching the locals going about their lives and get a chance to purchase various fresh fruits and locally made craft pieces. After the experience, you will head back to your hotel, have dinner, and stay overnight.

Day 6: Flight back to Nairobi

Have breakfast at your hotel, checkout and transfer by boat to Manda airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi city using the Wilson Airstrip. Then you will meet your safari driver and transfer to your hotel or to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight.
