Sankale camp

Sankale camp is a semi-budget accommodation found on the Oloolaimutia Hill in the western part of Kenya’s famous Masaai mara national reserve. You can reach the camp by either road or air transport, which takes approximately 5 to 6 hours (250 km) to drive from Nairobi city centre to Maasai Mara National Park, or about an hour to fly from Nairobi to the nearby Ol Kiombo airstrip or Kekeerok airstrip, followed by a short drive to the camp. The camp is convenient and business friendly to tourists and travellers who want to explore the park with its beautiful view of the wilderness and surrounding areas.

Sankale camp consists of over 5 spacious and comfortable tents raised on a deck overlooking the wilderness, reflecting traditional building styles with modern comfort.  Each tent is well elevated, decorated and furnished with en-suite facilities of clean private flush toilets, safari-style hot and cold showers, dressing tables, mosquito nets, Air conditioning, Deck chairs, Wooden Tables, Free bottled water in the tents, free toiletries and many others. Each tent has sitting areas, Private verandas and vanity decks that give a better view over the surrounding areas.    Tents are equipped with comfortable, clean bedding containing queen-sized beds.  There are fireplaces at the camp where guests relax and share stories about safaris; it also provides warmth to visitors during cold nights.  The camp offers tents suitable for families as well as individuals with single beds, double beds for sharing/twin beds and triple beds.

A  restaurant in a main canvas structure  that serves different   meals  both international (vegetarians and non-vegetarians) and Kenyan cuisine to  meets  guests choices: English breakfast, picnic lunch and  dinners (both indoor and outdoor dinners)  served by well-trained, friendly and organized  staff  ,they also serve bush dinners overlooking the stars in the sky.

Masaai Mara National Park is among the largest and most visited parks in Kenya, known for its incredible density and variety of animals. The park is located 270km north of Nairobi in Kenya, covering a total area of 1,510 km2. There are many over 1 million tribes in Kenya, Masaai  are  initial and local  group of semi –Nomadic people that settled in Kenya and the northern part of Tanzania. Maasai Mara National park is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. The park is home to over a million animals, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, and hippos, as well as 600 species of birds and 60 species of raptors in various colours. Wildebeest traverse their plains during their annual migration from Serengeti national park during July, August and October. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers.
