Detailed itinerary of 10 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Safari & Zanzibar Beach Holiday
Day 1: Welcome to Rwanda – Kigali City
On arrival at Kigali International Airport in Kigali City, you will be welcomed by our experienced safari guide. Immediately you will understand why this beautiful country is named “The Land of a Thousand Hills” with its green, rolling expanse stretching out beneath you.
After freshening up and enjoying lunch at your hotel or at a local restaurant, you will go for a visit to the Genocide Memorial Museum – a truly moving experience which sheds light on Rwanda’s tragic past, making its optimistic present all the more impressive.
You will then transfer to your luxury accommodations on the foothills of Volcanoes National Park through the undulating countryside. Here, views of volcanic peaks are showcased by fireplace-heated cottages where you will be treated to full-board gourmet dining.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking
Today, you will enjoy one of the great highlights of world travel. Have chance to come face to face with a family of mountain gorillas, you will be brought out into the depths of Volcanoes National Park before setting off to trek through its forested slopes.
You will have early breakfast and head to the park’s headquarters for briefing about rules and regulations to follow while tracking mountain gorillas, you will be assigned a gorilla family to trek in groups of 8 people.
On this magical experience, you will walk with expert guides and trackers leading the way through the dense jungle. When you locate the gorilla family, you will have a full hour to immerse yourself among the family marveling at the impossibly cute babies, the all – too-human faces of the mum and the rippling muscles of the 25-stone silverbacks. This is truly a touching and humbling experience.
Then return to your luxury lodge, have some time to relax by the fire and enjoy full-board dining.

Day 3: Explore the Virunga Volcanoes and back to Kigali
You will have this morning and afternoon to explore the Virunga Volcanoes, you may track the gorillas again if you want to or explore the park further, trekking out to discover golden monkeys, volcanic lakes and the tomb of Dian Fossey- the celebrated primatologist and conservationist wo lived with the gorillas for nearly two decades.
Then after lunch, your private – guide will bring you back past coffee, tea and banana plantations to Kigali.
You will spend the night in Kigali City at one of the finest hotels complete with spa, sundeck and piano bar. If you want to, you might visit a local market or try out traditional Rwandan cooking at one of the many fine restaurants in the city.

Day 5: Fly to Zanzibar
After breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to the tropical island of Zanzibar. Upon arrival at Zanzibar Airport, you will be picked by our private driver and head to your beach resort along the white sand beach for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6-9: Zanzibar Island getaway
You will explore and enjoy your stay on the tropical island of Zanzibar. There is even an overwater restaurant where just – caught seafood is served up to sunset views.
