Semadep Mara Camp is a 3-star mid-range accommodation situated at a distance of 2 km from the main gate, Sekenani gate of the Famous Masaai Mara National Park in the Kenya region. The camp is situated 800 meters off Narok –Sekenani 12 road. The camp is situated on the small Magical hill that offers the most spectacular view of the Mara plains and surrounding areas.
How to get there:
It takes approximately a 4-5 hour drive from Nairobi city to the park and an hour flight from Nairobi to ol-kiombo airstrip then 20km to be transferred to the camp.
The camp is convenient and affordable for guests and tourists who want to explore the park’s beautiful views, wildlife, and surrounding areas.
About the camp
Semadep Mara camp is comprised of 8 spacious and comfortable permanent tents with the view of Mara Plains, reflecting traditional local building style with comfort.
All tents are well elevated on a wooden platforms and furnished with private en suite facilities of flushing toilets, hot and cold showers, mosquito nets, free toiletries, complementary bottled water, slippers among many others
All tents have sitting areas and balconies; you relax while enjoying the spectacular view of the Mara plains and surrounding area.
Tents are equipped with comfortable, clean bedding containing king- and queen-sized beds that vary in size, with single beds for individuals and double beds for sharing, as well as family rooming options.
There is a campfire where the fire glows with comfortable chairs; guests relax as they share stories/experiences about the safaris in the veranda that provides warmth to visitors staying at the camp.

The restaurant in the main building serves both international and local meals that meet guests’ choices; it offers buffet breakfast, picnic lunch, and dinners served by well-trained, friendly, and organized staff. You can have meals either in dining areas or bush breakfast and dinner while enjoying stars in the sky.
A well-stocked bar with drinks both hard and soft (beers, sodas, juice, wines, etc.). you sip the drink of your choice while by the campfire overlooking the park, with wildlife roaming around the camp since it’s not fenced.

About the park.
Masaai mara national park is among the largest and most visited park in Kenya situated 270km north of Nairobi in Kenya occupying a total area of 1,510 km squared. There are over 1 million tribes in Kenya; the Maasai are the initial and local group of semi –Nomadic people that settled in Kenya and the northern part of Tanzania. Maasai Mara National park is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border.

The park contains over a million animals that include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos; 600 species of birds; and 60 species of raptors in different colors. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration from Serengeti national park during July, August and October. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers.
