Luxury Songa Tented Camp in Serengeti

Songa Tented Camp – Luxury Serengeti Migration Camp

Named from the Swahili word for “to move”, Songa Tented Camp matches the heartbeat of the migration, where your days are spent getting close to the action as you can.

Songa Tented Camp calls the hilly outcrops of Kogatende its home, and invites guests on an immersive safari experience with an explore-style tented camp as your home base. Between July and November each year, as the Great Migration moves north. The camp is perfectly positioned to witness the Great Migration – one of the most thrilling spectacles as thousands upon thousands of wildebeests cross the Great Mara River.

The Property

Songa Tented Camp is set amongst the hilly kopjes of Kogatende and settled beneath a canopy of acacia trees; it is divided into two. Each has its own main area – a canvas lounge and mess tent with a no-fuss bar area. Open–air lounges may be arranged outside to make the most of the views or the crackle of the fire at night. The structures are simple, but there is no lack of finesse.

Dine and lounge in rustic elegance, with white tablecloths, plush sofas and textured African rugs. Lantern-lit evenings exude the romance of old-school safaris.
