Slipway Safari Camp is well known as Slipway masaai mara cottages, 2 star budget and family-friendly accommodation found in Nkoilale areas within the Masai Mara national reserve in Narok county of the Kenya region. The camp is in sekenani just 20km outside the main entrance of the park.
How to get there
You can be at the camp by road or air transport, taking approximately 5-6 hours (260km) drive from Nairobi city center to Masaai mara national park and an hour to fly from Nairobi to the close airstrip, then a few minutes’ drive to be transferred to the camp. The camp is a 15 minutes’ drive from Sekenani main entrance gate.
It is convenient for safari adventures for tourists and travelers who want to explore the park with its beautiful view of the Mara Plains, wildlife and surrounding areas.
About the camp
Slipway safari camp consists of 10 spacious and comfortable cottages overlooking the beautiful wilderness, perfect for families/groups, reflecting traditional building styles.
Each cottage is well elevated on a raised platform, decorated and furnished with en-suite facilities of clean private flush toilets, safari style showers/ bucket, mosquito nets, Deck chairs, Wooden Tables, Free bottled water, free toiletries and many others.
Each cottage has sitting areas, Private verandas that give a better view over the wilderness and surrounding areas.
Cottages are equipped with comfortable, clean bedding containing queen-sized beds that vary in sizes with single beds for individual or solo travelers, double/twin for sharing, as well as family options as mentioned above.
There are fireplaces at the camp where guests relax and share stories about Kenya safaris; it also provides warmth to visitors during cold nights.

About the park
Masaai mara national park is among the largest and most visited parks in Kenya, known for its incredible density and variety of animals. it is situated 270km north of Nairobi in Kenya, occupying a total area of 1,510 km squared. There are over 1 million tribes in Kenya, and the Maasai are an indigenous group of semi-nomadic people who settled in Kenya and the northern part of Tanzania.

Maasai Mara National park is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. The park contains over a million animals that include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos; 600 species of birds; and 60 species of raptors in different colors.
Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration from Serengeti national park during July, August and October. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers.
