Animals in Masai Mara: Masai Mara is one of the famous parks not only in Kenya but in Africa at large.
The great legendary annual wildebeest migration, considered one of the seven wonders of the tourism world, has the best wildlife encounters in travel history.
Animals in Maasai Mara are the key attractions of the Reserve. Wildlife viewing is one of the most common activities in the park, which can be done using an open-roof safari car or walking safaris, escorted by well-armed game rangers at an extra cost.
Game drives are conducted year-round in two sessions: early morning and evening. Additionally, balloon safaris are available in the park for those who wish to observe the animals from an eagle’s eye view.
Masai Mara is one of the few famous parks without the Big Five; it has no white rhinos and only very rarely sees black rhinos. Historically, the park has been known as having no Big Five, but it provides the Big Four, as even when rangers report a few available black rhinos, they are very hard to spot.

Animals in Maasai Mara have the highest concentration of big cats and small predators, with the highest number of hyenas in Africa.
Other popular animals include the big four: elephants, which increase in number annually; lions; buffalos; leopards; and other game such as cheetahs, hyenas, wild dogs, zebras, wildebeest, Thomson’s gazelles, hippos, crocodiles, bat-eared foxes, jackals, Topi, and others.
