HIGHLIGHTS OF 4 DAYS BWINDI GORILLAS & LAKE MBURO SAFARI
Day 1: From Kampala to Bwindi National Park
On the first day of the safari you will be picked from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe or upon arrival at Entebbe International airport and proceed to Bwindi impenetrable national park on a journey of 8 hours with a stopover in Kayabwe at the Equator and in Mbarara for lunch.
Proceed to Bwindi impenetrable national park and when you arrive in Kisoro district you will be welcomed by the green terraced highlands of Kigezi and when you arrive in the park you will check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla tracking
Have breakfast and head to the park’s headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking which is conducted by a ranger, you will also be grouped into 8 people and be assigned a gorilla group to trek.
Trek into the forests of Bwindi in search for mountain gorillas, the trek takes about 2-8 hours depending on the movement of mountain gorillas and where they spent their previous night (the rangers know where the gorillas are). When you find the gorillas you will are allowed to stay in their presence for one hour while taking pictures and observing their behaviors.
Then trek back to the park’s headquarters to pick your gorilla trekking certificates and return to your lodge, in the evening you will go for a walk in the Batwa Community where you will have an encounter with the Batwa people, be entertained by local dances and drama and witness various aspects of their life. Return to your lodge for dinner.
Day 3: Bwindi to Lake Mburo National Park
Have breakfast and embark on a journey to Lake Mburo National park a home to numbers of antelopes, Burchell’s Zebras, hippos, warthogs, buffaloes and several species of birds. Along the way you will have lunch in Mbarara Town a home to the long – horned cattle and proceed to the park arriving in late afternoon, you will go for an en-route game drive as you head to Lake Mburo for a boat ride on which you will enjoy the cool breeze on the lake, see a number of animals such as crocodiles, warthogs, zebras among others. In the evening you will head to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: morning game drive and departure
Have morning breakfast and head to the park for a morning game drive on which you will enjoy the endless views of the rolling hills and many animals such as zebras, antelopes, warthogs among others. Later exit the park and head on a drive back to Kampala, when you arrive in Kampala you will be dropped off either at the hotel or at the airport for your departure flight back home.
