Day 1: Fly from Mombasa to Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park

Upon landing at Wilson Airport or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport from Mombasa, you will be picked up by your safari-driver guide. After a short briefing about the safari, you will embark on a journey to Lake Nakuru National Park via the Great Rift Valley, where you will stop to enjoy views of the escarpments.

Arrive in the reserve in time for lunch, and check in at your lodge for your meals and short rest. In the afternoon you will go for a game drive exploring the reserve; expect to see several animals, including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes and flocks of Pink Flamingoes along the shores of Lake Nakuru—a soda-ash lake rich in abundant green algae. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve

After a delicious breakfast at your lodge, check out and depart from Lake Nakuru National Park to Masai Mara National Park with a drive through the Great Rift Valley Floor and western escarpments formed centuries ago due to the natural shifting of the earth’s tectonic plates.

Arrive in the reserve in time for lunch; later go for a game drive through the savannah rolling hills and the open plains of Masai Mara National Reserve. During the game drive, you will see several animals, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, wildebeests, elands, gazelles and giraffes, among others. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Masai Mara – Game drives

Spend a full day in Masai Mara National Reserve on a game drive exploring its scenery and wildlife. During this experience you will catch a glimpse of the Big Five animals that is lions, leopards, elephants, cape buffaloes and rhinos—and other animals such as giraffes, zebras, hippos, baboons, wildebeests, warthogs, gazelles, crocodiles and numerous bird species.

Maasai Mara national reserve hosts one of the world’s most spectacular dramas, which is The Great annual wildebeest migration happening between July and October. in this annual movement, more than one million wildebeests and hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles migrate northward from the Serengeti to Maasai Mara national reserve. During the journey, these animals encounter dangers and hazards from predators—crossing the Mara River, which is infested with Nile Crocodiles.

In the afternoon you can do an optional visit to the Masai Village, where you will engage with the community members and learn local dances and the culture of the Maasai Community. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
