Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
On arrival at Kigali International Airport in Kigali City, you will be met by your driver and taken to our hotel in the city. Spend the rest of the leisure, recovering from the jetlag, have dinner and overnight stay.

Days 2, 3 & 4: Akagera National Park
After a delicious breakfast, depart Kigali for Akagera National Park where you will spend your next days (3 nights at Magashi Camp). The journey is approximately 3 hours. On your honeymoon stay in Akagera National Park you will take part in thrilling Rwanda safari experience that is game viewing, romantic walking safari and a boat safari on Lake Ihema.
Akagera National Park is the only big 5 reserve in Rwanda offering great opportunities to spot lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, elephants and rhinos during game drives. On game viewing drives that is morning and afternoon game drives, lookout for animals like the elusive roan antelope – the largest antelope in Africa, zebras, giraffes among others.
On a walking safari in Akagera National Park you will have a close encounter with nature as well as the animals, on this nature – oriented experience you will be led by an armed ranger for protection from wild animals. This excursion is perfect for couples and you will have a close encounter with animals such as zebras, giraffes among others.
Boat safaris in Akagera National Park are done on the beautiful Lake Ihema, the second largest lake in Rwanda after Lake Kivu. You can either do a morning, afternoon or sunset cruise. The sunset cruise of Lake Ihema is perfect for couples offers a chance to watch the beautiful sunset over the African savannah as well as Lake Ihema.
Lake Ihema is home to huge population of Nile Crocodiles and hippos which you will enjoy watching, also lookout for several water birds such as the shoebill stork, herons, flycatchers, sunbirds, cardinal woodpecker and weavers among others which will be a delight to your eyes.

Days 5, 6 & 7: Volcanoes National Park
On Day 5, drive to Volcanoes National Park – the most famous destination in Rwanda, you will spend your next 3 nights at Bisate Lodge – a sumptuous villa on the slopes of an eroded volcanic crater. On your honeymoon stay, you will take part in three thrilling experiences that is gorilla trekking, golden monkey trekking and Mount Bisoke Hiking.
On a gorilla trek, you will wake up early for breakfast and head to Volcanoes National Park Headquarters in Kinigi for briefing about gorilla trekking dos and don’ts. In groups of 8 people you will be assigned a gorilla family to trek, head into the forest looking for mountain gorillas together with your ranger guides. The trek takes approximately 2 to 6 hours depending on feeding range of the gorillas and when you locate them. You will have one hour of being in their presence watching them go on with their life in the forest, take amazing photos to flame this magical moment.
On the day of gorilla trekking, you will join other visitors at the park headquarters for briefing, then head into the misty jungle looking for the beautiful playful golden monkeys. Golden monkeys are endangered primate species thriving in the bamboo forests and when you encounter them, you will watch them play on bamboo tree branches and you will surely fall in love.
If you are interested in more adventure, hike Mount Bisoke standing a height of 12,175 ft. Mount Bisoke lies within the borders of Rwanda in Volcanoes National Park and DR.Congo in Virunga National Park. Climbing Mount Bisoke takes 6 hours to get to the summit and 2 hours coming down. While on the summit of the volcanoes, you will enjoy scenic views of the surrounding and take memorable couples as a couple.

Day 8: Transfer to Kigali – Departure
After a leisurely breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and transfer to Kigali City. After lunch you will be dropped off at Kigali International Airport for your flight back home or to your next destination.
