Day 1: Pick up from Goma/ Gisenyi and transfer to Kibati (virunga national park) – Hike Mount Nyiragongo (ascend)
Mount Nyiragongo (Ascend): Your adventure will start on day 1 of 2 days Mount Nyiragongo hike Congo safari with a hotel pick up either from Goma or Gisenyi depending on your previously communicated pick up location. Carry alongside your packed lunch box and wear appropriate hiking attire then set off on a drive to Kibati ranger post where other hikers will all converge ready for a briefing by the experienced rangers. During briefing, you come to learn more about Mount Nyiragongo, its formation, when it last erupted and many more. Once the briefing is done, you will start the ascension through the forest where you will spot lots of fauna and flora species including primates, mammals, birdlife and abundant of tree species.
The hike is divided into 4 thus throughout the 3 segments, you all have to move as a group under the protection of the rangers for security and safety purposes. You will enjoy your picnic packed lunch enroute and proceed ascending. Along the 4th stage, hiker s are free to move in any way they want thus the fast hikers can move to the summit fast and the slow ones will follow slowly till they reach. Upon arrival at the summit, Hikers are rewarded with fascinating and stunning views of different attractions including the neighboring volcanos, parks and many more. You will spend an entire night at the top of Mount Nyiragongo.

Day 2: Descend Mount Nyiragongo and transfer back to Goma/ Gisenyi
Descend Nyiragongo and transfer back to Goma/ Gisenyi: On the 2nd day which is the final day of your 2 days Mount Nyiragongo hike Congo safari, have your breakfast by 5:30am and check out to join the other group of hikers and start descending back to Kibati where you will join convoy for a transfer back to Goma. You will then cross over into Gisenyi Rwanda and proceed to Kigali.
