3 days Lewa Downs Conservancy safari takes you on a Kenya safari experience to Lewa Downs conservancy a community conservation site located south of Isiolo town near the Laikipia plateau on a drive of 4 hours drive from Nairobi.
Lewa Downs Conservancy is a great site for watching the endangered black and white rhinos, the endangered Grevy’s zebras and the big five – lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, elephants and rhinos which you will enjoy during your safari in the conservancy.

Day 1: transfer from Nairobi to Lewa Downs Conservancy
Early in the morning after breakfast you will be picked from your hotel in Nairobi by your safari driver and set off on a journey heading to Lewa Downs Conservancy, on your way you will enjoy the scenic landscape and the local people going on with their daily life. On your arrival in the conservancy you will check into your lodge/camp, have lunch then go for a walking safari in the plains of Lewa. On this guided walk you will be able to enjoy the watching the scenic landscape and many animals inhabiting in the conservancy such as Grevy’s zebras, endangered black and white rhinos and many more. After the experience you will return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: morning game drive and Maasai village visit
Have morning breakfast at your lodge/camp, meet your safari driver and head to the conservancy for an exploration experience on a morning game drive, from the comfort of your safari vehicle and through the open windows you will be able to watch a variety of animals such as east African cheetahs, reticulated giraffes, black rhinos, Grevy’s zebras, sitatunga, elephants, rhinos, cape buffaloes, lions, leopards and many birds such as harlequin quail, hartlaub’s bustard, hunter’s sunbird, golden-breasted starling, Amethyst sunbird, cinnamon-chested bee-eater and many more. After the game drive you will head back to your lodge/camp for breakfast, after lunch you will head to the Maasai Villages neighboring the conservancy for a visit. On this visit you will enjoy and be more enlightened about the Maasai lifestyle, traditions and culture through local dances and drama, participating in local activities such as cattle rearing, making of the beautiful jewelry pieces such as necklaces and many more.
Day 3: Transfer back to Nairobi
Wake up for breakfast then drive to the conservancy for the last game viewing experience, morning game drive is an opportunity to watch predators as they return from their hunting expeditions such as lions, leopards, East African cheetahs and many others. After the game drive you will return to your lodge/camp for lunch, after lunch you will checkout and embark on a journey back to Nairobi where you will be dropped off either at the hotel or at the airport for your departure flight.
