DETAILED ITINERARY OF 4 DAYS MARA RIVER CROSSING SAFARI
Day 1: Arrival in Kenya and transfer to Masai Mara national reserve
On arrival in Kenya at Jomo Kenyatta International airport, you will be met by our safari driver-guide and a representative and then embark on a drive to Masai Mara national reserve, along the way you will enjoy splendid vistas of the country side of Kenya and you will have a stopover in Narok to view to magnificent Rift Valley Escarpments. Arrive in the reserve in time for lunch which you will have at the lodge/camp, in the afternoon you will head out for a game drive following the herds in the endless savannah plains. Return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: full day with the herds
Have early morning breakfast and head out to the plains of Mara for a full day in the presence of the migrating herds, during your full day you will camp at the stretch of the Mara River where you will sit and wait for the herds to cross the Mara river. You will also be able to spot predators like lions, cheetahs, leopards, African Wild dogs waiting for the herds to cross, during this full day game drive you have picnic meals in the plains of the reserve. After the sunset, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: last full day with the herds and big cats
On this third day of the 4 days Mara River crossing safari you will maximise you time in the Masai Mara national reserve by exploring the endless plains and spending more time on the Mara river to get a glimpse of the crossing herds. You will participate in early morning and late afternoon game drive on which you will be able to catch the cats when they are most active, cats to lookout for include lions, leopards and cheetahs. Return to your camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Back to Nairobi
Wake up early and head to the reserve for the last game drive and after the game drive you will return to the lodge for breakfast and then exit the reserve and head on journey back to Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be dropped off at Jomo Kenyatta International airport where you will connect with your flight back home.
