Detailed itinerary of 6 days Masai Mara and Bwindi gorilla safari
- Day 1: be picked from Nairobi and transfer to Masai Mara national reserve
- Day 2: whole day game drive
- Day 3: transfer to Nairobi and catch your flight to Entebbe Uganda
- Day 4: transfer to Bwindi forest national park in south Western Uganda
- Day 5: gorilla trekking in Bwindi national park
- Day 6: transfer to Kampala
Detailed itinerary of 6 days Masai Mara and Bwindi gorilla safari
Day 1: be picked from Nairobi and transfer to Masai Mara national reserve.
On the 1st day of the safari, you will be picked from your hotel in Nairobi or at Jomo Kenyatta International airport and then transfer to Masai Mara national reserve – a home to the abundance of wildlife. It takes approximately 6 hours to get to Masai Mara with a stopover in Narok for lunch and at the rift valet view point to enjoy views of the escarpments, and then proceed to the reserve. Arrive in the evening and go for an evening game drive, some of the animals you will enjoy seeing include wildebeests, lions, elephants, buffaloes, cheetahs, leopards, zebras, Thomson gazelles, warthogs, hyenas among others. After the game drive, you will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: whole day game drive
Game drive in Masai Mara: after breakfast you will head to the endless plains of the reserve for a full day game drive with picnic lunch, during the game drive you will be see many animals which you were not able to see u unable to see in the previous game drive and also explore the reserve. Some of the animals you will enjoy watching include hippos, leopards, rhinos, lions and several bird species. After lunch you will proceed to exploring the park in the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: transfer to Nairobi and catch your flight to Entebbe Uganda
Early in the morning, have early breakfast and embark on a drive to Nairobi, when you arrive you will be drop off at Wilson Airport for your flight to Entebbe International Airport. On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, Uganda, you will be picked from the airport and transfer to your hotel in Kampala city for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: transfer to Bwindi forest national park in south Western Uganda
You will be picked from your hotel and embark on a drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park located in South Western Uganda along the Kampala- Masaka Highway, along the way you will have a stopover at the equator for a photography session on the equator statue. Proceed to Mbarara where you will have a stopover for lunch then to Kigezi county the Switzerland of Uganda arriving in the park in evening, check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: gorilla trekking in Bwindi national park
Have early breakfast and head to the park’s headquarters for briefing about mountain gorilla trekking experience, a ranger will take you through rules and regulations to follow during the experience and while in the presence of mountain gorillas. You will then be grouped into groups of 8 and be assigned a gorilla group to trek. You will then trek into the forests of Bwindi in search for mountain gorillas which takes about 4-5 hours depending on the gorilla group you are trekking and 1 hour of being in the presence of mountain gorillas while taking pictures and witnessing their beautiful behavior which is similar to humans. You can also take pictures as long as your flash light is off. Later head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: transfer to Kampala
On this last day of the safari, you will checkout of your lodge after breakfast and embark on a journey back to Kampala where you will be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport for flight back home.
