Detailed itinerary of 8 days Maasai Mara Wildebeest Great Migration private safari
Day 1: Arrival Nairobi
On arrival in Nairobi you will be picked up by your safari driver-guide at the airport then head to your hotel in Nairobi, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: transfer to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast at your hotel you will checkout between 0700 hrs to 0800hrs you will depart Nairobi for Lake Naivasha, on your way you will drive through the breathtaking Great Rift Valley where you will enjoy the scenic views of the escarpments and photographic opportunities from the view point. You are to arrive in at the lake in lunch time which you will have after checking into your hotel then for a boat ride of about 1-2 hours, on the boat ride you will enjoy watching many birds such pink flamingoes, pelicans, cormorants and animals such as hippos and Nile crocodiles.
After the boat ride you will drive to the Crescent Island where you will take a guided walk and enjoy watching antelopes, giraffes and wildebeests. Return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: Transfer from Lake Naivasha to Maasai Mara national Reserve
After breakfast at your lodge, you will depart for Maasai Mara national reserve the most popular wildlife viewing destination in Kenya, on your way you will pass through the Maasai town of the Narok arriving at your lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon you will head to the reserve for an afternoon game drive enjoying watching many animals such as lions, wildebeests, gazelles, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, warthogs and many more. Later return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4: full day in Maasai Mara Game Reserve
After morning breakfast at your lodge you will head to the reserve where you will spend a full day exploring and have picnic lunch. On this full day you will visit most regions of the reserve in the comfort of your safari vehicle and you will be able to watch a number of animals such as the lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, warthogs and depending on the time of your visit. You will be able to witness the annual wildebeest migration in which millions of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles cross from Serengeti national park to the plains of Maasai Mara national reserve crossing the Mara River.
After the full day of experience, you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 5 – 6: follow the migration in Maasai Mara Game Reserve
After morning breakfast at your lodge, you will head to the reserve together with your packed lunch on another full day of following the migrating herds. You will watch the herds as they graze on the fresh grass in the reserve and observe predators such as lions, leopards, African wild dogs and hyenas following the migrating herds.
On these two days your lunch will be set in a picnic setting in the wilderness of Maasai Mara national reserve and you will enjoy both your meals and the nature of the reserve. Later return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 7: follow the migration Maasai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast at your lodge, you will go for another day of following the migrating herds in the plains of Maasai Mara national reserve. Like other days you will gave picnic lunch in the park then return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 8: hot air balloon safari and transfer back to Nairobi
Wake up early before the break of the dawn and head to the reserve for a hot air balloon experience. On the hot air balloon experience you will enjoy the aerial views of the reserve and the large columns of the migrating herds from the sky. When you land you will be treated to a champagne breakfast then exit the reserve and embark on a journey back to Nairobi where you will be dropped either at your lodge or at the airport for your departure flight back home.
