This 5 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari takes you on an adventures safari to Uganda’s most popular savannah safari destination, Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth National Park consists of various habitats, including grassland savannah, forests, wetlands and lakes which are habitat to a wide range of large mammals and primates. The park is set against a backdrop of the beautiful Rwenzori Mountains, it also boasts great scenic views of Kazinga Channel a waterway connecting Lake Edward to Lake George and at least ten crater lakes.

Detailed Itinerary of 5 Days Queen Elizabeth Safari

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative then be transferred to your hotel, where you will enjoy an evening of rest. Depending on your arrival time, you will tour Entebbe City visiting the local Zoo, Botanical gardens and some other places of interest.

Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early departure from Entebbe and head west of the country on a scenic view road trip en-route to Kasese, Queen Elizabeth National Park. En-route, have a stop at the Equator for pictures, beautiful scenery, and plenty of fresh vegetable and fruits. Proceed to the Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in time for lunch.

After lunch, we will proceed for an evening game drive where you will also see the Crater Lakes, later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Have an early morning rise, then embark on an extensive early morning game drive in the Park, pursuing the most wildlife congested tracks, such as the Kasenyi Track. Expect to see elephants, buffaloes, lions, bush bucks, kobs, the rare giant forest hogs, hyenas and waterbucks.

After the game drives, we return to have breakfast at the lodge and relax a bit before the next experience.

In the afternoon, we will take a launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel. As you sail, you enjoy sightings of hippos and crocodiles in the water and herds of elephants, buffaloes and water birds such as Pelicans, Cormorants, egrets, herons and jacana along the banks of the channel. If you are lucky you could catch sight of the rare Leopard prowling.

Day 4: Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today we embark on an excursion to the Kyambura Gorge –a forested valley within Queen Elizabeth National Park to track the fast moving and elusive chimpanzees, one of the man’s closest relations. With a pretty mobile chimpanzee population, viewing is unpredictable, but the walk is enchanting.

Alternatively, you could go for a nature walk in Maramagambo Forest to see other primates. After a lunch break, drive to the Katwa salt lick in the afternoon, here you will witness how salt is being mined using local methods.

At sunset, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay

Day 5: End of Safari – Drive back to Kampala

After breakfast, bid farewell to your lodge and embark on a scenic road trip to Kampala or Entebbe. You will be dropped-off either at your hotel or at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
