Detailed Itinerary of 7 Days Adventure Uganda Safari

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Your 7 Days Adventure Uganda Safari starts with early morning breakfast at the hotel around Kampala, they embark on a journey to Murchison Falls National Park passing through Luwero Triangle with enroute lunch in Masindi and visiting Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, home to rhinos.

Upon arrival, check into your lodge and relax in the evening.

Day 2: Morning Game drive & Afternoon Boat cruise

Have early breakfast and head to the park for a game drive where you can see various animals like cape buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, lions and antelopes among others as well as several bird species along other games. Have lunch and then go for an afternoon boat cruise on the Nile River.

Later in the evening proceed to the top of the falls and witness how River Nile squeezes itself through a narrow gap before meeting driver guide back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Have early breakfast at your lodge and then drive to Kibale National Park passing via Hoima to Fort Portal with lunch in Masindi. After lunch continue to Kibale National Park, one of the greatest rainforests with 13 primate species including chimpanzees, red tailed monkeys, vervet monkeys among others and well as several bird species including rumped tinker bird, green breasted pitta, and yellow spotted nicator among other bird species. Check-in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and visit Bigodi wetland

Wake up early, have breakfast and then proceed to the park headquarters with packed lunch box for briefing about chimpanzee trekking. Head into the marvelous rainforest to search for the playful chimpanzees, the trek takes approximately 30 minutes to 6 hours or more depending on the movement of the chimpanzees and where they spent their previous night.

When you locate the chimpanzees, you are allowed to spend one hour observing them play, feed and even observing males guarding territories. Enjoy packed lunch in the wild, in the afternoon after tracking visit Bigodi Swamp for a guided walk, expect to see other primates like mongoose, bush pigs, baboons, otters among others.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park  

Enjoy breakfast, depart from Kibale and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park after breakfast. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is found in the South-Western part of the country, this rainforest dominated park harbors more than 340 mountain gorillas. While on the road trip to the park, travelers can see different animals, beautiful vegetation and local people along the way. Arrive in the afternoon, check in at the lodge, relax or go for an evening guided nature walk.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest

After early breakfast, continue to the park headquarters for briefing. Rangers will lead you through forests looking for mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking is an amazing activity but can be tiring as you have to walk through uneven terrain, the trek takes approximately 2-8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night. You are allowed to spend only one hour with the gorillas observing them go on with their life in the forest, groom each other and play from tree branches. Trek back to the park headquarters, meet your guide and return to the lodge for lunch. In the evening you may choose whether to relax at the lodge or visit Batwa Community for cultural dances.

Day 7: Depart back to Kampala

Have breakfast and then drive back to Kampala with en-route stopovers at Igongo Cultural Centre for lunch and photography at the Equator. Your guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight home, bring your safari to an end.
