This 8 Days Classic Uganda Adventure takes you on a tour to Uganda’s incredible destinations, have encounter with endangered mountain gorillas in the misty forests of Bwindi, chimpanzees in the rainforests of Kibale and wildlife including four of the Big Five on game drives in the savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park and Lake Mburo National Park.

Detailed itinerary of 8 Days Classic Uganda Adventure
Day 1: Arrival
On arrival in Uganda at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our driver guide and be transferred to your hotel in Entebbe. Spend the rest of day at rest, have dinner and overnight stay.
Overnight stay at Boutique Hotel Number 5 (Luxury) or Papyrus Guesthouse (budget)

Day 2: Drive Entebbe to Lake Mburo – Game Drive
After breakfast, you will embark on a journey to Western Uganda driving through the beautiful landscape of Central Uganda with vast cultivated plains, banana plantations and cattle farms. Have en-route at Mpambire where you will watch how drums are made as well as other artifacts, as well as at the Equator for pictures and a chance to stand in both Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
Continue with your journey to Lake Mburo arriving in the afternoon, check in and enjoy your meals. Later go for a game drive exploring the park and enjoy sighting of several animals including zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, Uganda kobs among others. In the evening you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Lake Mburo to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Wake up early for a game drive in the park, then journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park while enjoying scenic views of rolling hills, tea plantations, tropical rainforests and the majestic chain of the Virunga Volcanoes.
Arrive in time for lunch and spend the rest of the day at rest. Have dinner and overnight stay.
Overnight Stay at: Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge (Luxury), Bweza Gorilla Lodge (Midrange).

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking
Wake up early for breakfast and head to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking, where you will be taken through rules and regulations to follow while in the presence of the gorillas. In groups of 8 people you will be assigned a gorilla family to trek, then head into the forest looking for mountain gorillas. The trek takes approximately 2 to 6 hours or more, and when you locate the gorillas, you will spend one in the presence of the gorillas watching them feed, play and groom each other’s.
Return to the park headquarters to pick your gorilla trekking certificates and return to your lodge for an evening of rest or head to Batwa Community for an encounter with the local people.
Have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 5: Hiking Across Bwindi Forest
Enjoy breakfast and head to Bwindi Forest for a guided nature walk. This mystic Bwindi Jungle has many walking trails running through the Nkuringo Sector of Bwindi on the South side to the Buhoma Visitor Center in the North. At the gates of the forest, you will make your way through the forest with a local guide who will fill you with ancient tales and incredible forest knowledge which will bring you close to the forest.
During the walking safari, you will see some of the wild forest inhabitants like chimpanzees, forest elephants, duikers, forest buffaloes among others.
Return to your lodge for lunch, check out of the lodge and embark on a journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha Sector where you will be lucky to spot the rare tree climbing lions. With a mini game drive you will head to your lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight stay.
Overnight stay at: Mweya Safari Lodge (Luxury), Katara Lodge (Midrange)

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Wake up early for breakfast and head to the Kasenyi plains for game drive, along the tracks you will encounter animals like herds of elephants and buffaloes, various antelope species such as Uganda Kob, topi and bushbucks.
Enjoy lunch at your lodge and in the afternoon you will go for a boat cruise on a Kazinga Channel which sets off at 14:00 and you will catch a sight of hippos and buffaloes in the waters of the channel and several bird species. After the experience, you will exit the park and embark on a journey to Kibale National Park, on arrival in the park you will check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale
Wake up early for breakfast and head to the Visitor Centre by 07:30 am for briefing about chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest, known for the diversity and density of primates in Africa and is the best place to see chimpanzees up-close in their natural setting.
After the briefing, you will enter into Kibale Forest in search for chimpanzees. During the trek you will also catch sight of L’Hoest’s monkey, red colobus monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys and many bird species. When locate the chimpanzees you will spend only one hour in their presence , watching them play, feed, groom and take amazing pictures.
After an amazing time with the chimpanzees, you will return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon you will head to the Bigodi Community for an interaction with the local people. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Drive from Kibale to Entebbe
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and embark on a journey back to Kampala through the beautiful Fort Portal Country with sights of Rwenzori Mountains. When you arrive in Entebbe, you will be dropped off at airport for your flight back home.
