Matira Bush Camp is a mid-range mobile accommodation found in the heart of the wildlife-rich Maasai Mara national park in Kenya at the Junction of the Mara River and the Talek River. The camp is located in the heart of the African bush wilderness. It was established and is owned by great travelers and tourists who have a passion for nature and conservation.

How to get there.
You can be at the camp by road or air transport, taking approximately a 5-6 hour (250km) drive from Nairobi city center to Masaai mara national park and an hour to fly from Nairobi to the close ol kiombo airstrip then 9 km drive to be transferred to the camp.

Matira bush camp consists of 10 spacious and comfortable tents raised on a wooden deck overlooking the wilderness and rivers, reflecting traditional building styles with modern comfort.
Each tent is well elevated, decorated and furnished with en-suite facilities of clean private flush toilets, bathroom hot and cold showers, hand wash basins mosquito nets, wooden chairs and Tables, free toiletries, Free bottled water in the tents and many others.
Each tent has a sitting area, Private verandas and a vanity deck that give a better view over the Mara River and wildlife roaming around the river and surrounding areas.
Tents are equipped with comfortable, clean bedding containing queen-sized beds suitable for families as well as individuals with single beds, double beds, twin beds, and triple beds.
There are fireplaces at the camp where guests relax and share stories about safaris; it also provides warmth to visitors during cold nights.

A restaurant in a main canvas structure that serves different meals both international (vegetarian and non-vegetarian) and Kenyan cuisine to meets guests choice ,; English breakfast, picnic lunch and dinners (both indoor and outdoor dinners) served by well-trained, friendly and organized staff ,they also serve bush dinners overlooking the stars in the sky.
A well-stocked bar and lounge with a variety of refreshments, both local, cocktail, wines, spirits and international beers, allows you to relax and sip the cocktail while overlooking the breathtaking views over the Mara wilderness, river, and surrounding area

About the Park
Masaai mara national park is among the largest and most visited parks in Kenya, known for its incredible density and variety of animals. it is situated 270km north of Nairobi in Kenya, occupying the total area of 1,510 km².
There are over 1 million people in Kenya, with the Maasai being the initial and local group of semi-nomadic people who settled in Kenya and the northern part of Tanzania. Maasai Mara National park is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border.

The park contains over a million animals that include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos and 600 species of birds and 60 species of raptors in different colors. Wildebeest traverse their plains during their annual migration from Serengeti national park during July, August and October. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers.
