Detailed Itinerary of 7 Days Mara River Crossing Safari
Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide company representative and after a short briefing about the Kenya safari and what to expect, embark on a journey to Lake Nakuru National Park.
Lake Nakuru National Park is a haven to the endangered black and white rhinos and Rothschild giraffes which are commonly seen on a game drive. Also, you will visit the shores of Lake Nakuru where you will see large flocks of pink flamingoes. Later in the day, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve
After a delicious breakfast, you will head to Masai Mara National Reserve, the most popular safari destination in Kenya known for its rich wildlife and ecosystems. The journey takes you through the Rift Valley Escarpment where you will enjoy scenic views of the escarpment and continue to the reserve arriving in time for lunch which you will enjoy after check-in at the lodge.
In the afternoon, you will go for a game drive exploring the endless of Masai Mara and enjoying various sights of animals including lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, buffaloes and other game drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Follow the Great Migration in Masai Mara National Reserve
Today we follow the great migration in Masai Mara on extensive game drives. Wake up early for breakfast and head to the reserve for a full day game drive with your packed lunch. Today’s game drive focuses on the Mara River Crossing, the most incredible stage of the great migration, watch the wildebeests cross the crocodile filled Mara River, the crossing is heart wrecking as some of the wildebeests lose their lives to the running waters, fierce crocodiles and predators like lions, cheetahs and African wild dogs along the banks of the river.
You will enjoy picnic lunch and continue with the game drive till sunset. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4. Transfer from Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will journey to Serengeti National Park with border-crossing at Isebania Border. Change into Tanzania vehicle and guide and continue to Serengeti and with en-route game drive you will head to your lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Today we enjoy a full day of game viewing in Serengeti National Park. After a delicious breakfast, join your driver guide with your packed lunch boxes and head to Serengeti for a morning and afternoon game drive.
As you drive around Seronera plains, you will see several animals including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, gazelles, topis, ostriches and cheetahs among others. You will enjoy picnic lunch at the Visitor centre and continue with the game drive till evening. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Olduvai Gorge Visit, Optional Crater Rim Walk
After breakfast, head to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a game drive in the through the plains of Serengeti National Park. Enjoy en-route lunch and a visit to the Olduvai Gorge for a chance to learn about the early life of man and findings of Dr. Leakey.
Proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with game drive around the crater. Check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Drive, Departure
Wake up early for breakfast and head to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with your packed lunch boxes. Descend over 600 meters into the crater for a half day game drive, Ngorongoro Crater is home to a variety of wildlife and during the game drive you will see several animals including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, gazelles, zebras, wildebeests, elands, warthogs, and giant African elephants.
Also, visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner of the crater, which is one of the main features of the Ngorongoro Crater, here you will see large flocks of flamingoes and other water bird species. enjoy picnic lunch as you marvel at the picturesque scenery, then later drive back to Arusha where you will be dropped off at the airport for your flight back home or to your next destination.
