Detailed Itinerary of 12 Days Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania Safari
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Your East Africa safari kicks off with arrival at Entebbe International Airport, meet your driver-guide and embark on a journey to Kibale Forest National Park. Along the way you will have a stop at the Equator Crossing in Kayabwe for pictures and lunch in Fort Portal, continue to the park arriving in the evening. Check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Overnight at Isunga Lodge

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience and Bigodi Swamp Walk
Wake up early for breakfast and head to the park for chimpanzee trekking, join other treks for briefing then head to the starting point and enter into Kibale forest looking for the playful chimpanzees. On a trek of 2-4 hours or more, you will spot other forest creatures like black and white colobus monkeys and several bird species. Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will spend one hour in their presence as you watch them feed, play and groom.
After this amazing experience, you will return to your lodge for lunch. Later in the afternoon you will go for a 2-3 hours’ nature walk in Bigodi Swamp and experience the different plants, butterflies, animals and primates as well as spectacular birds like Great Blue Turaco and rare Ppayrus Gonolek among others. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park
After breakfast, check out of your lodge and embark on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a drive through the Ishasha Sector where you might get a chance to see the rare tree climbing lions. Enjoy en-route lunch and when you arrive in the park, check in at your lodge for an evening of rest, dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking Experience

Enjoy an early breakfast, meet your driver guide and head to the park headquarters with your packed lunch boxes for briefing about gorilla trekking and rules and regulations to follow while in the presence of the gorillas. With armed ranger guides, head into the forest looking for mountain gorillas, the trek takes approximately 2 to 6 hours or more depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night.
Once you locate these gentle giants, you will spend one hour in their presence as you watch them play, feed and groom. Then trek back to the starting point, meet your driver guide and return to your lodge for an evening of rest and reminiscing about the day’s jungle adventures.

Day 5: Fly to Masai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy an early breakfast, meet your driver and be transferred to Kihihi Airstrip for your flight to Entebbe International Airport where you will connect for a flight to Masai Mara National Reserve.
Expect to land in Masai Mara National Reserve in the afternoon, you will be picked up by our driver guide and head to your lodge with an afternoon game drive. Check in, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6&7: Full Day in Masai Mara
Spend these two days exploring Masai Mara National Reserve on full day game drives giving you an opportunity to explore the endless plains of this iconic game reserve during July to the end of September, the Mara plains are full of the wildebeests while on their annual Wildebeest Migration.
Expect to see other wildlife species including leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals and bat-eared foxes. The black rhinos are a little shy and hard to spot but are often hard to see but are often seen at a distance if you are lucky. You will enjoy picnic lunch at one of the picnic sites in the park and continue with the game drive till evening. Later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, check out of your lodge and embark on a journey to Serengeti National Park with border crossing at Isebania Border. After clearing with the park authorities you will continue to Serengeti with en-route lunch, when you arrive in the park you will go for a game drive as you head to your lodge for check in, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Full Day Serengeti Safari
Enjoy early breakfast, meet your driver-guide and head out for a full day game drive in the savannah plains of Serengeti. Today you will explore the Central Serengeti Plains known for its large lion prides which you will see during the game drive, other animals you will see include cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, giraffes, elephants and different antelopes.
Later in the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Morning Game Drive & Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, go for another game drive in Serengeti and later connect to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with your packed lunch box. You will enjoy visiting several attractions such as Ol Duvai Gorge for an experience at an archaeological site. Also, you will have a cultural experience with the Maasai people who also live in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Later in the afternoon, connect to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 11: Full Day Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive
Wake up early for breakfast, then head to Ngorongoro for a full day game drive. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater – the world’s largest intact caldera and home to numerous wildlife species such as lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, wildebeests, gazelles, zebras among others. The crater is also home to several bird species such as flamingoes on the shores of Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner of the crater.

Day 12: Departure
After breakfast, check out of your lodge and embark on a journey to Arusha where you will be dropped off at the airport for your flight back home or to your next destination.
