This Kenya safari and Diani beach holiday takes on an a visit to Maasai Mara national reserve, Lake Naivasha And Crescent Island, Tsavo West national park, Amboseli national park and Diani Beach.
ITINERARY
DAY 1: arrival in Kenya
Upon arrival in Kenya at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met by one of our Focus East Africa Tours representative and Safari driver-guide who will assist you with your belongings. From the airport, you will transfer to your hotel in Nairobi and before check in you will be briefed about the safari program. Then check, have dinner and stay overnight.

DAY 2: transfer to masai mara national reserve
After having breakfast, your safari driver guide will give you a short safari briefing, drive to Masai Mara national reserve a famous world wildlife destination renowned for the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth – the annual migration of over millions of wildebeests. You will arrive in the reserve in the afternoon, time for lunch which you will have after checking into your lodge
After lunch you will go for an afternoon game drive on which you will be able to spot animals such as lions, leopards, wildebeests, antelopes, Thomson and Grant’s gazelles, zebras among others. In the evening you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: full day in masai mara national reserve
On the 3rd day of your 11 days Kenya wildlife and Diani Beach safari, have breakfast and transfer to the reserve where you will spend a full day exploring on game drive, Maasai Mara is Africa’s richest wildlife viewing arena and is a home to Kenya’s largest prides and herds of elephants. The reserve is also a home to leopards, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, hippos, Nile crocodiles, zebras, giraffes, gazelles among others and over 550 species of birds.
During the game drive you will be able to explore the reserve, enjoy the scenic landscape and spot numerous species of animals.
Alternatively you do a hot air balloon safari offering an opportunity to fly the Mara and get view of the landscape and animals, you can also visit a Masai village where you will get to learn the Masai culture. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: Lake naivasha
After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Naivasha arriving in time for check in and have lunch, in the afternoon you will head to the lake for a boat ride visiting the Crescent Island Game Park in Lake Naivasha in the Kenya Great Rift Valley. Crescent Island is a home to abundance of wildlife such as wildebeests, waterbucks, zebras, wildebeests, zebras, gazelles and hippos which you will spot.
From the top of hill you will get 360 degree view across the Lake from Longonot to Hell’s Gate to the Mau Escarpment to Eburu and onto the Aberdares, you will also be able to take a walk along the ridge in the golden hour before sunset whilst watching animals grazing with the water shimmering beyond. Then you will take a boat back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, you will depart from Naivasha heading to Amboseli National Park a famous Kenya national park for large herds of elephants with impressive herds roaming across the vast grassy plains. The park also boosts the majestic views of Mount Kilimanjaro the highest mountain in Africa, Amboseli national park is a home to all the 5 members of the big Five (lions, elephants, cape buffaloes, leopards and rhinos).
You will arrive in time for lunch after checking into your lodge and in then go for an afternoon game drive, you will drive through across the vast Amboseli Lake bed which is often dry but swampy in some areas. You will be able to see a variety of animals such as cheetah, buffaloes, giraffes, herds of elephants, zebras, cheetahs with the backdrop of majestic Mount Kilimanjaro.
If you wish, you can visit a Masai Village to experience the lifestyle of this nomadic tribe and see their colorful culture at an extra fee.

DAY 6-7: TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK
On the 6th day of your 11 days Kenya wildlife and Diani Beach safari, have breakfast , depart and head for Tsavo West national park arriving in time for lunch which you will have at the lodge after checking in, Tsavo West national park is over 8,000 square miles and is part of Tsavo the largest national park in Kenya and one of the largest protected areas in the world.
Tsavo national park is split into protected areas – Tsavo West and Tsavo East national park, Tsavo west is located mid way between Nairobi and the coast boasting volcanic hills, 4 rivers, about 1,000 plant species and over 60 mammal species. The northern part of the park is the most developed area of the park featuring spectacular scenery with a rolling volcanic landscape carpeted in long grass and dense bush.
Tsavo West national park is a home to an abundance of animals including lions, leopard, cheetah, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, kongoni, waterbuck, klipspringer, impala, gazelles, buffalos, and elephants
During the days you will spend in the park, you will be able to explore the park, visit Mzima Springs and Ngulia rhino sanctuary where you will hippos. In the evening you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 8-10: DIANI BEACH
The 8th day of the safari marks the end of your bush safari and this will be marked with departing from Tsavo West national park and head Diani Beach using Nairobi – Mombasa highway with en-route game drive. On arrival in Diani Beach you will head to your beach resort where you will stay from 8th day to 10th day, you will spend these 3 days relaxing in Diani. During your stay you will be able to take a stroll along the soft white sands, take a cool dip in the swimming pool and relax on the beach, watch the spectacular sun rise. You can also do water activities such as swimming in the beach, snorkeling, kite-surfing, and snorkeling or take a boat cruise in a dhow boat.
DAY 11: Transfer back to Nairobi
After breakfast you will checkout of beach resort and transfer to Ukunda airstrip for your flight to Nairobi’s Wilson airstrip, then head to Jomo Kenyatta International airport for your flight back home.
