Detailed Itinerary of 7 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Kampala – Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Start your Uganda Safari with pick up from Entebbe International Airport by our representative (Driver-Guide), he will give you a short briefing about the safari and what to expect on the safari and embark on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Along the way, stop at the Equator Crossing for pictures and in Mbarara for lunch. Continue to Bwindi Forest through the picturesque evergreen mountainous regions, often called the “Little Switzerland of Uganda”. Arrive in Bwindi in the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking and the right way to behave while in the presence of the gorillas and in the forest. In groups of 8 people, you will be assigned a gorilla family to trek, head into the forest searching for mountain gorillas led by an armed ranger and guides.
The trek takes about 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night, when you locate the gorillas you will spend one hour in their presence watching them play, groom, and feed.
After one hour, you will trek back to the park headquarters, meet your driver-guide and return to your lodge for an evening of rest. Alternatively you can head to Batwa Community for a cultural experience.

Day 3: Bwindi Forest – Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Afternoon Boat Cruise along the Kazinga Channel
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a wildlife-rich area and the most popular safari park in Uganda.
After lunch, enjoy a unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This Uganda safari highlight passes through dense hippo populations and offers views of various animals drinking at the water’s edge.
The boat cruise provides excellent photography opportunities, bird watching and wildlife viewing are exceptional, with over 550 resident bird species recorded.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth Morning Game Drive – Drive to Kibale Forest National Park
Wake up early for breakfast and head out for a morning game drive in Kasenyi Plains offering excellent chances to spot lions, leopards, giant forest hogs, cape buffaloes, elephants, Defassa waterbucks, Uganda kobs, Topis, Bushbucks and more.
After lunch, check out of the lodge and embark on a journey to Kibale National Park with magnificent views of the fabled “Mountains of the Moon” en-route to Fort Portal.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking – Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, proceed to Kanyanchu Park headquarters for a pre-trekking briefing. Kanyanchu is the main trailhead for the park’s renowned forest walks, particularly the Primate Walk.
Chimpanzee trekking excursion commences at 0800 hours, in groups of 8 people head into the rainforest looking for chimpanzees. The trek takes approximately 2 to 6 hours depending the movement of the chimpanzees and where they spent their previous night, keep an eye out for sightings of other primate species calling Kibale home including black and white colobus monkeys, olive baboons and several bird species.
Spend an hour observing and photographing the chimpanzees up close, watch them play, feed, pick fruits and groom each other. Later trek back to the park headquarters, meet your guide and embark on a journey to Murchison Falls National Park arriving in the evening, check in at your lodge, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Explore Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, drive to the park’s northern section for a game viewing experience. Expect to see elephants, buffaloes, bushbucks, lions, leopards, giraffes, hartebeests and various bird species.
Return to your lodge for lunch and then head out for a two hour launch cruise at the base of the mighty Murchison Falls. The riverbanks offer views of hippos, crocodiles, and several water birds including crested cranes and herons among others. In the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Morning Game Drive – Drive back to Kampala/Entebbe
Sadly, today is the last day of your 7 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari. After breakfast, check out of the lodge and embark on a journey back to Kampala with en-route game drive and lunch. you will be dropped off either at the hotel in Entebbe or at Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home.
