Detailed itinerary of 10 Days Uganda Safari
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
You will be picked up from your hotel in Entebbe or Entebbe International Airport and drive to Murchison Falls National Park, along the way you will have a visit to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – the only place where you can see rhinos in Uganda.
You will track rhinos on foot and get a close encounter with them under the guidance of armed ranger guides, proceed to the park with lunch en – route. You will enter the park through Kichumbanyobo gate and visit the top of the falls and then proceed for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Game drive and launch Cruise – Murchison Falls
Early morning breakfast and then go for a game drive where you will spot various animals like elephants, elephants, giraffes, lions, Uganda kobs among others. In the afternoon you will go for a launch cruise on River Nile heading to Murchison Falls – the park’s main attraction with its streaming hippo and a range of crocodile along the sandbanks as well as large numbers of different species of animals like elephants and buffaloes coming to drink water and cool off. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Have breakfast, checkout of the lodge and then drive to Kibale, en-route you will visit the Amabera ganyinamwiru stalagmites and waterfalls site in Fort Portal and the crater lakes. Have lunch and proceed to Kibale arriving late afternoon.
Dinner and overnight stay the lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking – Kibale Forest and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Have early morning breakfast and head to the park headquarters for briefing and start chimpanzee trekking.
Kibale Forest National Park is one of the best safari destinations in Africa for chimpanzee trekking; the park’s 795 square kilometers is dominated by the most beautiful and varying tracts of tropical forest in the whole of Uganda. The park is home to the largest population of chimpanzees in East Africa.
As you trek through the forests of Kibale, you will spot other primate species such as black and white colobus monkeys, olive baboons and many birds. When you locate the chimpanzees, you will spend a reasonable amount of time watching them go on with their life and take amazing pictures of them.
After the trekking, you will have lunch and then visit the Bigodi Wetland where you will experience a lot of birdlife and unspoiled nature. Later transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Game drive and Launch Cruise – Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will have early morning game drive in the Kasenyi Sector where you will spot various animals like elephants, Uganda Kobs, leopards, lions, warthogs among others.
Return to the lodge for late breakfast and head to the Katwe Salt pans for a visit where you will encounter the locals undertaking salt mining. Have lunch and go for a launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel where you will spot various animals such as schools of hippos and crocodiles, you will also spot various birds including the shoebill stork and herons among others. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Forest
After having breakfast, you will set off for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park where you may spot the tree climbing lions resting on fig tree branches.
You will have en-route lunch and arrive in Bwindi in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking – Bwindi
After early morning breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters for briefing about the rules and regulations to follow on trek and in groups of 8 people you will be assign a gorilla family to trek and head into the forests of Bwindi looking for that gorilla family.
The trek takes approximately 4-6 hours or more depending on the movements of the gorillas and their feeding range, when you locate the gorillas you will stay in their presence for one hour while taking pictures and observing their behavior which is similar to humans.
After trekking, you will return to the starting point to pick your gorilla trekking certificate and return to the lodge. Later in the day, you can head to the Batwa Community for a visit or go for a forest walk.
Day 8: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi – Kabale
Have breakfast at your leisure and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale known as the Switzerland of Africa, on the drive itself you will enjoy views of the scenic landscapes and misty distant Virunga Mountains.
Have lunch in Kabale Town and proceed to Lake Bunyonyi for a boat cruise to Bushara Island where you will have a thrilling nature walk in the forest trail with great bird viewing opportunities. Depart, return to the loading site and proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Boat Ride and Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Enjoy breakfast and go for a boat ride on the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi which is dotted with 36 Islands each with its beautiful story, during the boat ride you will visit some of the major islands in the lake including the Punishment Island, Bushara Island and Leper’s Island among others where you will see a good number of birds and learn more about the local people.
Later transfer to Lake Mburo National Park with a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch, proceed to Lake Mburo National Park arriving in the late afternoon/early evening. Dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Game Drive and Transfer back to Kampala
Enjoy an early morning game drive in the savannah plains of Lake Mburo National Park with fascinating sightings of herds of impala, uncommon Topi, Eland, Klipspringer, Burchells Zebra, buffaloes, giraffes among others.
Later return to lodge for late breakfast and drive back to Kampala with en-route lunch and drop-off at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight back home marking the end of your 10 Days Uganda Safari.
