6 Days Maasai Mara Safari  (6 days masai mara safari) is almost a weeks safari and will blow your mind when you visit the Maasai plains which are full of adventure. Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara

Day 1 of our 6 days Maasai Mara Safari starts from Nairobi at your hotel where our driver guide meets you and briefs you on the itinerary as you enjoy the breakfast.  After breakfast, we transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve the home of the African big 5

Our drive is around 5 hours with a prominent stop at African cultural towns like in Narok for brief craft shopping and African bits. We proceed to our lodge where we shall reach around lunchtime, enjoy the lunch as we rest from the long drive. In the evening after lunch go for a brief evening game drive to search for animals like cheetahs, lions, leopards, zebras mention but a few. Return back to our lodge to catch up with our dinner and overnight. 

6 Days Maasai Mara Safari

Day 2:  Maasai Mara

Have an early breakfast at the lodge before we go out for today’s action of our 6 days Maasai Mara Safari. We will move with parked lunch boxes as we go deep in the wilderness to feel the fresh breeze of nature. Going closure to the animals in their natural habitat and moving freely roaming around looking for the food of the day. Early morning game drives are much rewarding in that most of the animals are more active when the weather is still cool and the grass has dew, especially during the dry season. Retire back to our lodge for the refreshing evening as we wait for our dinner while memorizing the experience of the day.

Day 3: Maasai Mara 

On our day 3 of the 6 days Maasai Mara Safari, we wake up early for breakfast before we go for half day game drive in the open plains of Maasai Mara looking for its permanent residents like lions, cheetahs, buffalos, oribi, Giraffes, and others. We return back to our lodge for lunch and some rest and after lunch we drive back to the bush once more to search for what we might have missed in the morning game drives. In the evening, return back to our lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Maasai Mara to Naivasha

Depart Maasai Mara national reserve for lake Naivasha after breakfast. We check out with game en-route as we leave Maasai Mara national reserve for lake Naivasha passing through the beautiful scenic view of the Great Rift Valley region. We reach to your lodge at lunchtime and check-in. Thereafter we have our lunch and later in the afternoon, we go for a game drive with a visit to Hells Gate National Park which allows Hiking, Bicycling ride, Rock climbing and photography of wildlife. Later we pay a visit to the geothermal power plant. We shall have dinner later on and an overnight stay at the lodge. 

Day 5: Naivasha 

Lake Naivasha is the highest and purest of all the Rift Valley Lakes at 1880 m above sea level. This area is a birdwatcher’s paradise (favorable for Bird Watching Safaris)  with over 450 species of recorded birds in the area. A small islet on the lake is home to large sums of wildlife. Visitors can enjoy a boat ride safari as they view wildlife and birds from the tranquil lake. A private ranch (Kongoni Game Sanctuary) is located in the area which is home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, and some translocated Grevy’s zebras. We shall also have Lunch, dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 6: Naivasha to Nakuru

After our cup of tea, we have a morning game drive in search for what we missed in the previous game drives before we drive to Lake Nakuru National park. The drive takes around 1 hour and you will only be dropped at the accommodation of your choice for the next plans for your trip.
