With our 4-day Maasai Mara Balloon Safari, you will have a lot to see, with the main highlight being the balloon safaris. Have a clear aerial view of the busy reserve with an eagle eye. Our safari comes with a bush breakfast and toast after the balloon safari.
Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara
Pick up from your hotel in Nairobi or at the airport in the morning and transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve. Our driver-guide will meet you at your hotel or upon arrival at the airport (but should be in the morning), brief you on 4 days Maasai Mara Balloon Safari, and we will drive to the reserve.
We will have a stop at the Great Rift Valley, then continue to Narok town where we will have a little relaxing shopping for African-made crafts. After some shopping, we continue with our drive to the main gates of Maasai Mara, where we clear and drive to our lodge for lunch and refreshments.
In the evening, after our rest, we go for a brief evening game drive to search for wildlife like zebras, lions, Rhinos, elephants, and many more. Have Dinner and an overnight stay at our lodge.
Day 2: Maasai Mara
This is the day you have been waiting for in our 4 days Maasai Mara Balloon Safari. Starting it with a heavy African breakfast, then a drive to Mara River where the migration takes place. Depending on the time of your trip to this reserve, you can catch up with the live wildebeest migration if you come around July to August and be one of the eyewitnesses to the action, not just reading on documentaries.
Millions of wildebeest and thousands of Zebras and other animals cross the Mara River from Serengeti in Tanzania, and here we will see survival of the fittest while other land predators like lions, leopards, and others are at the entrance and exit waiting for the same. The full day will be spent in the wilderness as we enjoy the African sun and hot temperatures.
Day 3: Maasai Mara (Hot Air Balloon)
This is the day of our 4 days Maasai Mara Balloon Safari, where the title comes from! Wake up call is early for a light breakfast before we are transferred to the balloon starting point. Have a great briefing from the senior pilots before setting off into the air to have an eagle eye in the reserve. The activity takes between 2 to 4 hours depending on the weather.
After you jet down for a hot breakfast in the bush, before driving back to the hotel with an en route game drive for what we missed or to compare the aerial view of the reserve with the ground view of the reserve. We have a great celebration with a toss from a glass of wine as we celebrate the victory of nature, catching live action of nature like big cats on a hunt.
In the afternoon, go for a brief game drive and community walk to the villages to experience the best culture in Africa. Have Dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 4: Return to Nairobi
After breakfast at the lodge, we drive back to Nairobi to catch up with our flight back home. You will be dropped at the airport or at your hotel in Nairobi city.
