Detailed Itinerary of 5 Days Rwanda Luxury Tour
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali International Airport
On arrival at Kigali International Airport you will be warmly welcomed by our representative, after giving you a short briefing about the safari you will embark on a journey to Akagera National Park, arrive in the evening. Check in at your lodge for an evening of rest, dinner and overnight stay.
Overnight at Ruzizi Tented Lodge
Meal plan: Half Board
Destination: Akagera National Park
Day 2: Game viewing and Boat Ride
Wake up early for breakfast, meet your guide and head to the park for an early morning game drive. As drive through various routes in Akagera National Park you will see several animals including elephants, buffaloes, lions, Masai giraffes, gazelles, impalas, baboons, oribis, zebras, bush baby and bushbucks among others.
Enjoy lunch at your lodge and in the afternoon, you will go for a boat trip along Lake Ihema where you will have a closer look on water animals like hippos and crocodiles and several water birds including the prehistoric shoebill, papyrus gonolek and endemics like Jacanas, Ibis, sand papers and herons. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Overnight at Ruzizi Tented Lodge

Destination: Akagera National Park
Day 3: transfer to Volcanoes national park
After breakfast, you will return to Kigali City and then connect to Volcanoes National Park in the Northern region of Rwanda for mountain gorilla trekking which is the highlight of your Rwanda Luxury Safari.
Arrive in the park in time for lunch and in the afternoon you will go for a walk in the nearby forests or crater lakes for scenic viewing, bird watching and photography. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Overnight at Bisate Lodge

Destination: Volcanoes National Park
Day 4: Gorilla Tracking
Wake up early for breakfast, meet your guide and head to the park’s headquarters in Kinigi for briefing about what to expect and the right way to behave while in the presence of the gorillas. Join other trekkers in groups of 8 people and enter into the jungle in search for mountain gorillas. The hike is done on uneven terrain, on muddy and slippery terrain.
The trek takes approximately 30 minutes to 5 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night. Once you find these endangered gorillas, you will spend one hour in their presence watching them play, feed and groom. You are allowed to take as many pictures as possible as long as your flashlight is off.
Return to the park headquarters to pick your gorilla trekking certificates then head back to your lodge. In the evening you will have a visit to the scenic twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Destination: Volcanoes National Park
Day 5: Return to Kigali City
After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and embark on a journey back to Kigali City where you will be dropped off either at the hotel or at the airport for your flight back home.
