Detailed itinerary of 10 Days Masai Mara & Serengeti Safari
Day 1: Nairobi-Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Our guide will meet you at your hotel in Nairobi or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, have a brief briefing about the safari and then transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve passing through small and large Masai towns like Narok.
We will reach to the reserve in the late afternoon, check in at your lodge for lunch and refreshments. In the evening, you will go for evening game drive. Expect to see various animals including the black maned lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes and other plain’s game. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 2 & 3: Full Day in Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Start you’re a day with early breakfast, then proceed for a morning game drive in search for the African Big Five and other wild game such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, cape buffaloes, elands, warthogs among others.
Return to your lodge for lunch and short rest, in the afternoon you will go for another game drive following different trucks which will give you an opportunity to see even more animals. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sopa Lodge.

DAY 4: Maasai mara (Kenya)-Serengeti (Tanzania)
Wake up for early breakfast then bid farewell to the lodge and its stuff and head out by road towards Isebania/Sirare Border where you will make a brief stop for visa processing to enter Tanzania. At the border on the Tanzania Side, you will change into Tanzania vehicles and safari guide. You will start your journey to Serengeti National Park driving through Nyamongo mining villages and mugumu township, you will access the park through Ikoma Gate or Fort Ikoma Ranger Post depending on where your camp is located in the Serengeti.
You will embark on your first game drive in Serengeti as you head to the lodge or camp, check in as you wait for diner and have overnight.

DAY 5: Serengeti North – Lobo Area
Morning breakfast then drive to northern Serengeti from game drive in this area till sunset, today you can come back to the lodge for hot lunch or have picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight at Lobo Wildlife Lodge.

DAY 6: Serengeti (Mara River)
Proceed for a full day game drive in the great migration at Mara area, here you will see various resident wildlife numbers in the Wagakuria area. The key feature here is the Mara River and there is a great chance to see the herds across the Mara River to the north on one day and back south a few days lake.
Please note that it can be very difficult to witness Mara River Crossing and is sometimes a matter of luck, a herd can be seen next to river and only decide to cross a couple of days later. This area is a stunning region with kopjes, woodland, riverine vegetation and open plains.
Overnight at Acacia Migration Camp

DAY 7: Serengeti (Mara River)
After breakfast, drive to Serengeti north viewing the great migration at Mara area, the key feature is the Mara River and it is not uncommon to see the herd across the Mara River North on one day then back south a few days later.
Please note: finding a crossing is very challenging and is sometimes a matter of luck, there are instances where herds can be seen next to the river but then only decides to cross a couple of days later. This area is stunning region with Kopjes, woodland, riverine vegetation and open grasslands which is similar to Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve.

DAY 8: Serengeti (Mara River)-Ngorongoro
Have early breakfast and go for another game drive in the plains of Serengeti National Park, have picnic lunch and in the afternoon, proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and have a stop at The Olduvai Gorge Museum – a famous archaeological location in East Africa. At Laetoli, located 45 kilometers South of Olduvai Gorge, you will find hominin footprints preserved in Volcanic rock that dates back 3.6 million years ago and represent some of the earliest signs of mankind in the world.

DAY 9: Ngorongoro Crater Tour
Start the day with an early morning game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area is an extensive highland area along the eastern arm of the Rift Valley with the world- renowned Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point, Ngorongoro was established purposely to conserve wildlife and other natural resources. The area also safeguards the interests of the indigenous people and promotes tourism as well.

DAY 10: Lake Manyara-Arusha
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara for a morning game drive on which you will enjoy sights of various animals including tree climbing lions and primates such as black and white colobus monkeys. In the afternoon, you will embark on a journey to Arusha for dropoff at the airport for your flight back home.
